Greater Bethel Cathedral ("Bethel LA," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through our app and website, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our app, you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
- Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address, full name, and a hashed password. You may also sign in using Google, in which case we receive the name and email associated with that account.
- Form Submissions: When you complete a form (Plan Your Visit, membership, baptism, prayer request, event sign-up, ministry team, tutoring, mentorship, testimony, children's church, etc.), we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, email, phone number, and a message or additional details.
- Prayer Requests: You may submit a prayer request with your name and message, or anonymously with a message only.
- Community Voices: If you post to our community board, we collect your name, message, and any optional photo or video you choose to upload.
- Live Comments: During live streams, you may post comments using a display name of your choosing. We store that name and your comment message.
- Donations: When you give through our app, the payment is processed by our third-party payment provider (Wix/Base44 Payments). We receive a record of the transaction (fund, amount, and status) but we do not collect or store your credit or debit card information — that is handled entirely by the payment processor.
- Usage Analytics: We track anonymous analytics events such as page views, form submissions, and checkout starts to understand how the app is used. These events are not linked to your personal identity.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you when you log in.
- To respond to your form submissions, prayer requests, and ministry inquiries.
- To display content you choose to share publicly, such as Community Voices posts and live comments.
- To process and record donations and provide confirmation of your gift.
- To improve the app's features, performance, and stability using anonymous analytics.
- To send you important account or security notifications when necessary.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising or targeted marketing.
How We Share Your Information
We share information only as needed to operate the app: with our hosting and database provider (Base44), our payment processor (Wix/Base44 Payments), and any service that powers a feature you actively use (such as YouTube for live streaming). These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and are permitted to use your data only to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our church, our members, or others.
Data Retention
We keep your account and submission data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion option in the app's Settings.
Your Choices
- You can update or correct your account information in the app's Settings.
- You can choose not to submit a form, prayer request, or community post at any time.
- You can request that we delete your account and personal data by contacting us.
- You can log out or close your account at any time.
Children's Privacy
Our app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information using industry-standard practices. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Payment information is encrypted and handled by our payment processor — we never see or store your card details.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed.
